Micah got to spend a lot of time with family in July. Micah had not seen his Aunt Mimi since Christmas of last year. He did not remember her at first, but quickly became a big fan of her. I don't think she was prepared to attempt to get things done while Micah whined at her feet to be picked up. He seemed to think he could convince her to take him outside to play with a little whining. Here is a picture of them together!
Micah's favorite place to be at G.G. and Grandpa's house is outside. He constantly begs to go outside to roam in the yard or push his wagon around the driveway. He knows his Grandpa is an easy target and can be easily convinced to give him what he wants. He got to play with the water hose in his pool, he quickly learned that putting his finger in the end would spray his face with water and was really quite fun! Needless to say he only needs a few minutes outside before he's dirty and wet!
Micah has also recently learned to climb into chairs himself. He found a rocking chair at my parents' house that he loved! He could climb into it easily and rock the chair like crazy on the hardwood floors. He wasn't great at getting back down and usually called out to his "G.G." who would rescue him and only charge him a few kisses.

While under his Grandpa's watch Micah fell down the drainage ditch in their yard. It was way too late for Micah to be playing outside but I wasn't paying close attention since he was still happy. He was wandering around the yard and took a tumble. I was not close by, but was told by Casey that Grandpa said "We have blood". Micah stopped crying fairly quickly, but was dirty and bloody. We're happy to report that his cut healed in less than a week and we see no permanent damage!

Micah also got to play with his cousin Matthew and Aunt Amanda while we were home. The boys are starting to play together, but mostly they play near each other. Micah also visited with his Granna & Da. He got to eat lunch with them at my favorite Mexican place. I'm brainwashing Micah early in life that he MUST eat Mexican food! We also went to the water park with Granna before heading to her house for dinner and playtime. Micah loved the water park, he can swim underwater and even "taught" Matthew how. Both kids had tons of fun and were very tired that evening. Micah got up early the next morning and played with Granna until he was hot and exhausted. He loves to open and close doors and Granna let him spend what felt like hours opening and closing the gate to the backyard. Micah had great fun, but I think Sadie the dog was very confused with the gate.
It took Micah a little adjusting when he got home, he realized that I wasn't going to entertain him every second. I think he was a little bored and sad, but he's back to his normal self. Here is a picture of him playing at home.
We are all very excited about having visitors at our house soon. Amanda, Ben & Matthew are coming to visit in a few weeks. I can't wait to let the boys play and swim and let the dads relax with a break from work. Zac's parents are coming for Labor Day, Micah can't wait to have Granna & Da all to himself!

Here are a few more pictures of Micah & Avery playing with toys and the dogs. Micah loved Avery's dogs, we keep discussing getting him one, but I just don't think I can handle a dog too. Micah loved Avery's doll stroller and grocery cart. I would buy him a stroller, but his Daddy doesn't think a boy should own a stroller.

Here is my new favorite picture of Micah. He was playing in a waterfall in the pool while visiting my cousin in Austin. I just love the face he's making and thought it would look good in black & white.
