Our Summer Vacation
We are in Dallas visiting my parents. We got here last Tuesday and Micah has just been playing all week. We had a wedding to attend this weekend and Micah was absolutely great at the rehearsal dinner and the reception. Here is a picture of him dressed up for the rehearsal dinner...
So far this week we've taken Micah to the park to play, to the aquarium and to the water park with his Granna. He's not only getting very tan, but is loving getting to spend so much time outside. He loves the attention he gets from all the grandparents and family while we're here. My parents' neighbor has 10 puppies and Micah got to play with one, he really likes dogs.
He he is with Granpda & G. G. at the park.

He's getting so big now and is learning words quickly. His favorites this week are:
"what's that?"
"uh-oh"
"thank you"
"okay"
And last but not least, our day at the aquarium:

Still more teeth and other news!
Well, I found 2 more teeth have broken through Micah's gums today. His top right canine tooth cut through and the bottom left 1 year molar also broke through. So now we've broken 5 teeth in the last month and are just working on getting those further through the gums. The little guy has been a grumpy pill this past week and I'm hoping his attitude will get better now that the pain has lessened. With our luck, he'll start in on the other 1 year molars next week. The advantage to the crazy teething period, is longer naps! This morning he slept until 9am, after going to bed last night at 8pm. It was great to get up because I did not need to sleep anymore and not because Micah wanted to get up!
Micah is getting big now. When we last took him to the doctor, he weighed 22 pounds 2 ounces. I am not sure how tall he is because we can't get him to lay still long enough to get a good measurement.
He is really good at walking now, he loves to run around the house carrying anything he can find. His favorite "game" is for Zac to chase him and Micah try to outrun him so he won't get caught and tickled by Daddy.
Micah's speech is quickly advancing. We discovered his first word, tickle while his Granna & Da were here. Granna was tickling him and we finally realized he was trying to say tickle. It's so cute and such a strange first word. He also knows dirt and doggy. He loves dogs and absolutely loves them if they will lick his face! Micah enjoyed playing with his Granna & Da, they took him for walks and let him play in the water in the backyard.
Tonight Micah managed to get himself into a little trouble. Zac put him down while I was on the phone and told me to watch him. I heard Zac say it but failed to process the request. After a few minutes I realized that I couldn't hear Micah from my spot in the living room. I went in search of him and found him in my study "working". I think he was reorganizing my filing system. He would be much better as my secretary if he would learn his ABC's.

Well I think that's all the news from this front. Zac is still working hard. We'll be home in Dallas for a week after Zac's birthday and for Father's Day. We can't wait to see everyone.
